Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)
Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), also known as Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) is a non surgical approach in using tailor made contact lenses to reshape or mold your front eye (cornea), making you have a Clarity sight at day time without the use of contact lenses or glasses.
What is Ortho-k?
Ortho-K is a non surgical method of reshaping the cornea to provide clear vision for children. It is also one of the most proven and effective methods of childhood myopia (short-sightedness) control. The patient wears a special contact lens while sleeping at night. This contact lens is designed in such a way that it will use the tears of the patient to gently reshape the cornea while the patient is sleeping.
It is a hard lenses that gradually change the cornea curvature, reduce corneal refractive power and result in image focused on the retina.
Ortho-k improves your vision better than traditional glasses or contact lens
The treatment results should equal the vision correction provided by traditional glasses to contacts. Ortho-K contact lenses are designed to slow down the nearsightedness (Myopia, Rabun Jauh 近视). Ortho-K may provide a solution that may not have been available through the use of traditional glasses or contact.
How Ortho-K Works
Most patients see noticeable improvement by using Ortho-K in the first few days, and complete vision correction is expected within 1-2 weeks.

Adult
Mild to moderate short sighted adults with or without mild to moderate astigmatism. Myopic adults who dislike wearing glasses. Restoring your vision while you sleep.
Children
Mild to moderate short sighted children with or without mild to moderate astigmatism. Children whose myopia keeps getting worse, play sports and swim, eyes are still developing and therefore are not candidates for LASIK eye surgery, who dislike wearing glasses, continually lose or damage their glasses.
